Our apartments are located in a pine forest in Miedzywodzie, at 2a Plażowa Street, in the first coast line, at approximate distance of 200 m from the descent to the beach (with a convenient wheelchair ramp). The quarters were created as a year-round offer for people seeking recreation by the sea (both passive and active). The building in which they are located was built in traditional technology, is insulated, covered with a pitched roof with modern ceramic tiles.
Each apartment is two-story, has an independent entrance and a terrace for individual use. The apartments are arranged in a terraced house form. When looking for an idea for our accommodation, we wanted to refer to traditional seaside architecture. We reached back to a book – a classic of holiday reading – „Podróży za jeden uśmiech” (“A journey for a single Smile”) by Adam Bahdaj, in which the main characters – Poldek and Duduś, as a result of unfortunate events, go on a lonely hitchhiking trip. Their destination is … Miedzywodzie! Before our eyes appeared frames from the film of the same title, directed by the unforgettable Stanislaw Jędryka. In the movie, Duduś, while reaching their destination (in the film, unlike in the book, the boys move from Krakow to Hel), passes brick seaside cottages covered with a pitched roof. It was our first clue :).
Looking further in the surrounding architecture, we got inspired by the medieval buildings of Wolin and the lighthouse in Niechorze, about 30 km away. We “transferred” the lighthouse’s brick facade and bottle green windows to our building, blending it in with the subtle colors of the surrounding pine forest.
The interior of the apartments by its character and colors refers to the exterior of the building. On the first floor there is a living room with a kitchenette and a bathroom (shower, lavatory and sink). Additionally, there are two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with one single bed and additional double bed available on the mezzanine) and also a second restroom. The decision to design a second lavatory on the first floor was made to improve the comfort of the stay with more people and the need to use the restroom in the evening and at night. Light in the upstairs rooms is provided by skylights, guaranteeing a great view of the crowns of nearby pine trees. In the bedrooms on the north side, the sound of the waves can be heard at night when the window is open.
The beds are equipped with comfortable mattresses, which provide adequate air circulation and improve the comfort of sleep. Next to the apartments there are covered terraces, separated by a wooden partition. The apartments have been equipped for a stay of up to 5 people.
Each apartment comes with one parking slot.
